"Yagi no Umeshu" is made using only fully ripe "Wakayama Nanko Ume", which is said to be the highest quality variety of plum among many others.The Nanko plums are left to mature on the vine until they are fully ripe, and only those picked in the morning are used.When pickled using fully ripe plums, the plums' natural peach-like aroma comes through as is.
